Now that we’re halfway through December, the holidays are in full swing! I personally don’t know where the time has gone, but things have been BUSY! I went to a holiday party last Friday, for cocktails and appies, and I attempted to bake a Christmas treat. My intentions were good, but I forgot the baking soda, and overcooked them, so they didn’t make the cut. Why is baking so hard?! Note to self though – don’t try new recipes the day of. Also note to self – stick to putting together outfits, not baked goods.
With that, my favourite part about the holiday parties is of course the dressing up! I wear a lot of street style clothing day-to-day, so it’s fun to get a little extra glam. I partnered with Le Chateau to put together a look for the holidays. Sparkle is one of the first things I think of for holiday attire, so I was immediately drawn to this dress. I love that it it’s classic black in colour, but the sparkle detail adds another element to it. Because I’m not attending very formal parties, a cocktail length dress for me works best. The neckline is wider than usual so I find it very flattering. While I usually don’t like/wear tight fitting clothing, especially dresses, this one was just snug enough to feel like it hold everything in!
Because the dress has so much sparkle, I paired it with a pair of black heeled sandals. It’s the holidays though, so even the shoes needed to have something special with the wrap-around ties! I added a burgundy coloured clutch (LOVE this colour for fall/winter), and kept the jewelry simple with studded earrings (similar here).

Hope you enjoy your holiday parties!
