How would I describe my style? I’m a little bit girly, a little bit edgy and a little bit casual. The great thing about fashion is that it is totally customizable to the individual wearing it. Over the years I have developed a certain sort of style that I lean toward, and you would be able to see that in my closet, but I also would not consider my style as one particular type. I love girly pieces, with ruffles, and lace, and blush pink and baby blue, but I also love edgier pieces with studs, and leather and favourite colour to wear is black. I also have a crazy denim collection – well over 20 pairs of jeans! I don’t own any ‘designer’ pairs of jeans, and my favs are from Abercombie & Fitch (they have the perfect stretch to them – like these and these!).
This gold pleated skirt (Nordstrom, but similar here) is the perfect piece to transition into fall. The pleated midi skirt is a huge trend for fall this year, so you will be seeing a lot of these in the store fronts and online shops! I have always loved this gold, mustard colour for this time of year, especially in the city as it compliments the autumnal hues. I paired this gold pleated skirt with a simple white silk tank top (similar here), and because I couldn’t let it look TOO girly, I added the black moto vest (similar here). This is more of a evening look, but you could easily pair this gold pleated skirt with a white t-shirt, runners, and a denim or suede jacket for a more casual take on it!
