A Floral Midi Dress makes for a perfect Summer dress
Summer is finally in full swing and I could not be happier! I love waking up with the sun shining and birds chirping, and the longer days leading into longer nights. I am especially loving that all of the patios are open, the parks are full and all the events taking place. But the best thing about Summer is of course, the warmth! Now that it’s so warm out, I love being able to throw on an easy flowy dress, like this floral midi dress.
Toronto is such a great city to live in, and it really comes to life in the Summer! One of my favourite things to do in Toronto is try new restaurants and coffee shops; I love discovering new places and sharing them with others! I have a few top coffee places I go to, but this was the first time I had tried FIKA in Kensington Market, and SO good! In the Summer months, Kensington Market hosts a block party ‘Pedestrian Sunday’ the last Sunday of each month, so it was fun to grab an iced coffee, sit on the front patio and people watch. If you are in Toronto, or are visiting, be sure to check FIKA out and try their signature ‘FIKA iced coffee’ (espresso, milk, cardamom bitters, simple syrup & fresh mint YUMM). I always get my lattes with almond milk 🙂
I have been loving the midi length dresses these days because it’s the perfect in-between between the mini and the maxi. While I love both a mini and a maxi, this floral midi dress is great for brunching, shopping with the girls, grabbing a coffee, or even date night. Generally I am always wearing neutrals, but I loved the large floral print on this midi dress. I especially love the off-the-shoulder neckline. Because it’s such a large print, I paired it with neutral accessories like these nude suede heels, and my new Chloe crossbody. You’ll have also seen these Rayban sunglasses all over my instagram, as they’re my new favs!
