Bundled in Fur

Outfit Details:

Faux Fur Jacket (similar here or here), Black Turtleneck, F21 Ripped Denim (similar here), ALDO Clutch (similar here), Steve Madden Booties, Mirrored sunglasses

In Canada it’s without a doubt that fur (faux in this case) is a necessity through the Winter months. When I saw this jacket at Club Monaco, it was love at first sight. Club Monaco is a great store for deal shopping, their items are amazing but come with a higher price tag, so I always shop the sale section, which is where I found this coat! A coat like this can really be paired with anything, but it’s definitely one of those pieces that ‘makes’ the outfit, so to keep it simple, I combined it with some distressed denim, mirrored sunglasses and this black clutch for an easy-to-wear day look.

I get asked about these jeans all.the.time. I picked these up at Forever21 while shopping on Oxford Street in London, England; one my favourite cities! It was mid August, so I was wearing a Summer dress, and (of course!) it started to downpour, so I popped into F21 for an inexpensive pair of pants to throw on for the rest of the day, and these were one of the first pair I saw! They have easily become a staple in my wardrobe; I love that they are high wasted, boyfriend style and majorly distressed. As for the booties, these are my current go-to’s. Nordstrom finally opened in Toronto, and I got these on their opening day. The heel thickness and height makes the boot so versatile and because they are suede, you can dress them up or down!

This ALDO Black Clutch is the perfect piece to transition from day to night. The gold chain strap allows you to wear it long, or tuck it away for the clutch look. I love the different textures on the bag, which makes it a lot more unique and versatile. These sunglasses are from Nordstrom , I grabbed these as a quick purchase before a trip to Florida this past fall (seriously missing the sunshine & warmth!!). They almost have a gold tone to the mirrored lens, so I thought they were perfect to bring out the flecks of gold in the jacket. I am loving the mirrored lens look that has become so popular, it is a style that looks effortlessly cool that can really be worn with any outfit!

I recently was gifted an ankle-length fur coat from my grandmother, it’s such a beautiful piece and when I put it on I feel like I’ve stepped out of an old Hollywood movie. I would love to wear it more, so I think I am going to get it cropped! When I do, I will definitely share.

Don’t crop grandma’a fur coat! You will need the extra length when you come back to visit Winnipeg in the winter!!! Great first post Carl!!!

Wendy made Boyd bring it to me from Winnipeg, then I pack it and bring it back home LOL. It’s honestly way too glam for everyday wear, but ok, I’ll think about the no cropping idea.
